Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of check-ai.com, LEO, LEO Cloud and the text messages Check AI sends. Section 4 is the part mobile carriers ask us to show you: how you opt in to texts, what we send, and how you stop them.

1. Agreement to these terms

Check AI ("Check AI", "we", "us") operates the website at check-ai.com, the LEO assistant and the LEO Cloud service at leo.check-ai.com (together, the "Services"). By visiting the site, submitting a form, reserving or purchasing a LEO, creating a LEO Cloud account, or opting in to our text messages, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that company, and "you" means the company as well as you personally.

2. What Check AI provides

Check AI builds private AI that runs on hardware you own. Our flagship product, LEO, is a voice-first executive assistant delivered on a machine (LEO Mini, LEO Studio or LEO Workstation) that is installed on your premises. LEO Cloud is the companion service used to manage a LEO machine, see its health, decide who in your company may use it, and route phone calls and messages to it.

We also offer other AI services, such as Border Watch, fraud detection and custom AI projects. Those are provided under a separate written agreement that controls if it conflicts with these terms.

3. Accounts and LEO Cloud

  • You must give accurate contact information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your LEO Cloud account, including the actions of people you invite. Keep your credentials private and use two-step verification.
  • Tell us promptly at info@check-ai.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or opt in to text messages.

4. Text messaging program (SMS terms)

Check AI operates a text messaging program called Check AI and LEO Notifications. This section explains what you are agreeing to when you give us a mobile number.

4.1 Program description

When you opt in, Check AI may send you text messages (SMS and MMS) for the following purposes:

  • Reservation and order updates: confirming a LEO reservation, pricing, delivery dates and setup appointments.
  • Account and security messages: LEO Cloud sign-in codes, two-step verification and security alerts.
  • Support conversations: replies from the Check AI team when you text or ask us to text you.
  • Messages from your LEO: if you connect a phone number to your LEO, the assistant can text you reminders, briefings, alerts about the numbers you track, and replies to things you ask it. These messages are generated on your own LEO machine and sent to the number you register.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages unless you separately and expressly ask for them.

4.2 How you opt in

You opt in by doing one of the following: checking the text message consent box on a form at check-ai.com and giving us your mobile number; adding a mobile number in LEO Cloud and turning on text notifications; or texting a keyword such as START to a Check AI number; or, for texts from LEO, agreeing directly to Jeff in person, by phone or by email, or signing up on the LEO text messages page. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying anything from Check AI.

4.3 Message frequency, cost and carriers

  • Message frequency varies depending on your reservation status, your account activity and how you configure your LEO.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • The program is available on major U.S. carriers. Availability on other carriers or outside the United States is not guaranteed.

4.4 How to opt out

You can cancel text messages at any time. Text STOP to any number Check AI or your LEO has texted you from. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further texts from that number. To start receiving messages again, text START or opt in again through the website or LEO Cloud.

You can also turn text notifications off in LEO Cloud, or email info@check-ai.com and we will remove your number.

4.5 Help

If you are having trouble with the messaging program, text HELP to the number that messaged you for a reply with support contact information, or email info@check-ai.com.

4.6 Your mobile number and privacy

We use your mobile number only to send the messages described above and to support you. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. 4.7 Messages your LEO sends to other people

LEO can place calls and send messages on your behalf, for example to a client who called while you were in a meeting. When you direct LEO to text another person, you are the sender of that message. You are responsible for having that person's consent where the law requires it, for honoring their requests to stop, and for complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, the CTIA Messaging Principles and any similar laws that apply to you. LEO will never send a message to another person without your approval.

Short version. Check AI and LEO Notifications: reservation, account, support and assistant messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • break any law, or send messages, calls or email that violate the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, carrier rules or anti-spam laws;
  • send unsolicited bulk messages, harass anyone, or impersonate another person or company;
  • interfere with, probe or attempt to gain unauthorized access to LEO Cloud, any Check AI system or any other user's LEO;
  • reverse engineer the LEO software except where the law expressly permits it;
  • resell or provide the Services to third parties without our written agreement.

6. Your content and your data

Everything you say to LEO, the email, calendar, documents and business data you connect, and the memory LEO builds from them belong to you. They are stored and processed on the LEO machine you own. Check AI does not use your content to train models for anyone else, and LEO Cloud does not store your conversations.

You give Check AI only the limited rights needed to operate the Services, such as routing a phone call or message to your LEO and keeping the LEO software up to date. If you choose to turn on a larger hosted model from a third party, the data you send to that model is governed by that provider's terms, and that feature is off until you enable it.

7. Reservations, orders and payment

  • Reserving a LEO through check-ai.com is free and does not commit you to a purchase. Nothing is charged until we have confirmed the machine, price and delivery date with you and you have accepted.
  • Prices, specifications and availability may change until an order is confirmed in writing.
  • Hardware is sold with the manufacturer's warranty where one applies. Software updates for LEO are provided for as long as Check AI supports the product.
  • Details on returns, refunds and support terms for a purchased LEO are set out in your order confirmation and purchase agreement.

8. AI output and limits

LEO is an AI assistant. It can make mistakes, misunderstand a request or produce an inaccurate summary. You are responsible for reviewing anything LEO drafts before it is sent and for decisions you make based on its output. LEO is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical or safety advice, and it should not be relied on for emergency communications.

9. Intellectual property

The LEO software, LEO Cloud, the Check AI name, logo and the content of this website are owned by Check AI or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Buying a LEO machine transfers ownership of the hardware to you and grants you a license to run the LEO software on it. It does not transfer ownership of the software.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except as expressly stated in a written purchase agreement, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any message will be delivered.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Check AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid Check AI for the product or service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, so they may not all apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services, close your LEO Cloud account or opt out of text messages at any time. We may suspend or end your access to LEO Cloud or the messaging program if you breach these terms or if the law requires it. Ending your account does not affect your ownership of the LEO hardware or the data on it.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at info@check-ai.com so we can try to resolve it with you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify LEO Cloud account holders by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
